The BLOKES group - Tuesday evenings at 6.45pm

BLOKES New Hope Brisbane provides Education, Mentoring, and Counselling Services for the men of Brisbane.

All people carry around baggage (unresolved emotional issues or “rubbish”) that can become debilitating to oneself or to relationships – and a threat to normal expectations of life. None of us are comfortable with the idea of disclosing or bringing up these issues (unpacking one’s suitcase of baggage).

As men we can perceive our insecurities and problems as intensely personal and unique beyond remedy. As a result of this perceived twisted view, lots of men live with the results of their failures for their entire lives, only apparent to others through recognisable unusual behaviours that are seen to outsiders as peculiar and difficult to understand.

• A group of men committed to the survival of authentic manhood in the context of todays cultures and society values;
• Are primarly concerned with the individual Aussie male, and his understanding of biblical manhood as the pathway to solving life's problems;
• Blokes presents authentic manhood from a biblical perspective, and is convinced that significant life change occurs when men understand and apply these concepts.
