Jesus, The Son of God had to be baptised, as an act of obedience to his Father. It was his time that he was released for ministry. He soon called the first disciples and started teaching and performing miracles.

It is one clear example in the bible when the trinity is displayed. Jesus the Son went into the water, the Father spoke and said, “this is my son with whom I am well pleased”. Then the Spirit of God came down from heaven as a dove and remained on him.

Today you are all testifying that you have seen the Son of God and you believe. You haven’t seen him with your eyes, but you have faith in your hearts that he has saved you and washed away your sins. I pray that this will be a day where you are filled with the Holy Spirits power. Where your relationships with him flourish, where you will get more revelation from the word, you will worship and pray more. I pray that the Holy Spirit will lead you into your ministry, and that the Lord will open many doors for you.

You are all very young and you have your whole life ahead of you. The world is your oyster. You will have many opportunities to serve the Lord and lead people to him, to make disciples like Jesus did. I also pray that the Lord will give you wisdom beyond your years, and favour and blessing wherever you go. Amen.
