India Trip 08

The trip was advertised in the bulletin:

Calling all able-bodied New Hopers! Your mission (should you choose to accept it) is to go to a land where life is cheap and hearts are hungry to make an impact in door to door evangelism, village ministry, open-air crusades, prayer walking and church planting with El Shaddai Arise—a ministry that is breaking ground in India.

When: October 25-November 15
Where: Tanuku City and Mumbai City, India
Why: Millions of hearts are hungry to hear the good news that God has a plan for them no matter who they are or what level of society they’re in, and that He has had a plan to rescue them and bring them into relationship with Himself—a message that so far many of them haven’t yet been able to hear. This is such a window of opportunity and El Shaddai Arise are seeing so much fruit—it’s not something to pass up!

Contact: Sophie Morton

The first ever India Team from New Hope Brisbane was led by Sophie Morton. Others on the team were her dad, Robert Morton, Cecily Wilson, James Markert, and Joseph Coram.

They headed off on Saturday night the 25th of October, 2008 for 3 weeks of intense life-changing ministry with open-air Gospel meetings in villages and slums, visiting churches, teaching in a school of revival, ministering in a children's slum, and prayer walking! They worked with Swaraj from El Shaddai Arise who had them doing lots of outdoor revivial meetings and prayer walking.
