One of our pillars of New Hope Brisbane is: “To build a community that loves one another and reaches out to the poor and needy together.”
Our new Community Care Ministry is moving ahead with lots of ideas and suggestions coming in since our first meeting. We’ve also had another productive meeting with CityCare to find out exactly how we support their wonderful work.
Other initiatives by BLOKES and also INSPIRE are also underway, which has included Yes We Care 2010.
Click here to read a report about a joint initiative of BLOKES with Community Care He who oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honours God. Proverbs 14:31 As an important and essential part of the body of Christ we are asking you all to help in this mission. Please when you are purchasing your weekly groceries if you can buy one or two extra cans of food or any non perishable foods, so that we can begin to set up emergency food parcels for the needy in our city. We are currently in the process of working with other organisations to establish this ministry at New Hope Brisbane. We would love to expand this over time into accessible clothing, lunches, dinners, prayer, friendship, love and fellowship throughout the week. Click here to read the Vision of Community Care
